Wildflower Arrangement 101
Flowers from Mt. Washington Florist.
Flowers used: gerber daisies, spider mums, larkspur, Monte casino, lisianthus, ferns, and thistle
Collect Supplies
- Pinecone Home Centerpiece and jars
- Garden scissors or knife
- Flowers - ours is a wildflower bouquet from a local florist
- Water
- Floral food (optional)
Fill jars with water
- Mix in flower food if desired
- Add jars to centerpiece box
- Don't overfill, you can add more water later
Start with Greenery
- Cut tips at an angle with sharp shears or knife
- Cut stems to about 8-10" so they don't overwhelm the blooms
- Spread greenery out into each jar
Cut Remaining Flowers
- Cut to 10-14" for maximum impact
- You can always trim more

Add Accent Flowers
- Fill between large blooms
- Split as needed to spread around
- Trial and error is normal
- Vary heights of each filler for natural look
Finishing Touches
- Rotate centerpiece to check both sides
- Add more water if needed
- Keep in cool conditions out of direct sunlight for long-lasting blooms
- Change water and add flower food if start to wilt
Step back and admire your gorgeous centerpiece.
