As a working mom of 3 young children, sometimes I dread dinner with my family. First I have to figure out what to eat that won't result in a 45 minute battle at the table, yet I'm tired of the same old chicken nuggets and mac and cheese. (Don't get me wrong - I am a big fan of those - but sometimes I feel like that's all I eat with 3 little kids). 

Enter Lorie. She's a mom of an opinionated 6 year old so she gets the battles over one-more-bite, but while her son is in school she has solved the problem. Unlike other recipes that seem to always include a strange ingredient I don't have at home, Lorie sticks to the basics but uses her magic to whip them into way more than I could have come up with on my own. 

After months of using her site on the regular, the only tricky thing was how to prop up the tablet while I was cooking. So, we came up with a cookbook holder. The sliding design makes it work for a variety of thicknesses so you can use it for a tablet, phone or Grandma's thick old cookbook. When you're done, slide apart and fold flat to free up precious counter space.
